Posted a post on the NUI developer blog last night: http://nuideveloper.blogspot.com/2010/09/time-to-think-about-nui.html

I have totally missed Prezi. Looks cool. Reminds me of Joshua Blakes Mix10 presentation, which he called NaturalPresentation.

This weekend I will work on a presentation and I am abandoning Powerpoint i favour of Prezi this time. Their UI borrows a lot of NUI ideas.

This interview with Bill Buxton is interesting: http://channel9.msdn.com/blogs/larrylarsen/ces-2010-nui-with-bill-buxton

or some usability-testing of any kind to begin with

  13. murtlest murtlest 2010-09-23 14:53

yes, credit card readers at stores (at least in sweden) could sure use some NUI

  14. funkykimster funkykimster 2010-09-23 14:52

In the smart phone section they surely are the main player. There are other fields where it's interesting with NUI: media centers, tablets, ticket machines (at the cinema, train station, etc)..

It's another kind of design philosophy when creating user interfaces for non-desktop computer devices (say smart phones and things like Microsoft Surface). For starter you can always check out Wikipedias page about NUI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_user_interface

  19. murtlest murtlest 2010-09-23 14:35
