i chose uttf8_bin and it changed to that

  2. mezod mezod 2010-05-05 21:07

well its funny but i obviously didnt chose swedish

  3. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:07

otherwise you will end up with strange chars on some symbols

  4. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:06

anyway, i recommend that you use utf8 as charset instead

  5. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:06

i really thought it should be case insensetive then

  6. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:06

    hmm

  7. mezod mezod 2010-05-05 21:05

    latin1_swedish_ci

  8. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:02

    to see charset

  9. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:01

    do "show create table grup"

  10. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:01

but i think it is the ctf_bin thing that is the problem

  11. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:01

    you want case insensetive

  12. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:01

    yes

  13. mezod mezod 2010-05-05 20:56

and what i want is not case-sensitive right? (if i write m it must return both m and M)

  14. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:54

if you use ctf_bin then it's probably case sensetive because it compares the binary representation of the chars

  15. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:53

    on the table or db?

  16. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:53

    hmm okay

  17. mezod mezod 2010-05-05 20:53

i chose ctf_bin but it changed automatically to latin1_swedish_ci

  19. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:52

i guess you have some strange charset

  20. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:51

    but it's strange

  21. mezod mezod 2010-05-05 20:49

ok dont worry its not important :P

  22. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:49

in that case i don't know

  23. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:49

or maybe LIKE works that way

  24. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:48

    don't you need a % after?

  25. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 20:48

    aha
