whenever you have connection problems. make sure your mysql client uses the same default port as the server. check my.cnf

  6. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-19 01:41

How to remotely access a mysql?

    1. remove bind-address=

    2. skip-networking from my.cnf

    3. grant permission to the external 'user'@'host'

    4. remove any firewall rules blocking port 3306 and make sure no overrides on the mysqld commandline.

    See more info HERE .

    it's ugly but simple

  13. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 22:17

    something like that

  14. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 22:17

    WHERE LOWER(name)=LOWER('%s')

  15. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 22:16

one ugly workaround might be to use LOWER() on both sides

  16. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 22:16

  25. murtlest murtlest 2010-05-05 21:12
