How, roughly, would the log-in procedure look?

pxl 2011-02-21 17:01
"Don't believe me? check it yourself"

murtlest 2011-02-21 17:01
and there is no built in encryption in js :(
-
pxl 2011-02-21 17:00
I could make it opensource :]
-
pxl 2011-02-21 17:00
That's true :/
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 17:00
there is no way for the users to know that you don't store their passwords
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 17:00
it's mostly yourself you want to protect your users from ;)
-
pxl 2011-02-21 17:00
like in base64?
-
pxl 2011-02-21 16:59
Can't I make js encrypt it?
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 16:59
not really good practice but i think that's the only way right now :/
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 16:58
you could ask for user and pass in javascript
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 16:58
but
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 16:58
it wouldn't work
-
pxl 2011-02-21 16:55
But, yeah, that'd be kindof counter productive since you don't want basic auth anyways.
-
pxl 2011-02-21 16:55
Nah.. But couldn't you add a function that justs prompts for basic auth without actually wanting to submit anything?
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 16:54
i don't think there is a way to get that password prompt to pop up without actually redirecting the browser to the protected page :/
-
murtlest 2011-02-21 16:53
the verification of the user was done in the browser

<?php $ch = curl_init(); ?> is at the top of index.php
