No not really, but we're using amazon s3 now for the logo and the css and i havn't noticed any problems yet :)

I really miss a feature like symlinking, especially to make it work nice together with cloudfront. But I guess I have to live without. Think i know how we are going to version our files now.
I'll soon make some files on qvaq load from s3.

What I wonder is why they made CloudFront as a separate service instead of just being a bucket-parameter (should the bucket be distributed or not)

Yes, finally got CloudFront to work, it took over 1 hour for my distribytion to deploy, not a few minutes as it says in the documentation.
